Title: Project of the Year Recognition
Description: In place of the regular monthly evening meeting, in April the Maine Chapter of PMI will be very pleased to recognize noteworthy Maine projects.
The Maine Chapter of the Project Management Institute will honor the state's top projects of 2002 in all fields. The formal competition is over and the really exciting part is next - selection and announcement of the awards!
Preliminary Action:
On Monday, April 7, the winners of the preliminary award of Distinction in Project Management will be announced. From the projects selected for this level of honor a single project will emerge has Maine's Project of the Year.
The Main Event:
Announcing the Project of the Year will be the highlight of the the PMI Maine Project of the Year 2002 Awards Program Thursday, April 17. We hope you can join us 9 to 11 a.m. at the Woodbury Campus Center on the USM Portland campus.
We believe the PMI Maine Project of the Year 2002 competition will benefit every person and organization that participates. More broadly, it will contribute to the improvement of project management - and therefore the economy and the general quality of life - everywhere in Maine.
Location: Meeting will be held at the Robert L. Woodbury Campus Center, University of Southern Maine, Bedford Street, Portland
Directions:
From 295 -
Take the Forest Ave North exit.
At the end of ramp go onto Forest Ave.
At the first light, turn left onto Bedford Street
Just past the end of the Campus Center building, on the right, will be a parking lot for the Center
From the Maine Turnpike -
Take Exit 7B
At the end of exit, turn right onto Brighton Avenue
Stay on Brighton (which is Route 25) through several lights; cross Stevens Ave and pass Brighton Medical Center
At the corner of Falmouth Street and Deering Avenue (a five corners intersection with the Law School's round tower on the right) continue straight on Brighton Ave.
Brighton Ave will end as it bears left and turns onto Bedford Street.
The Woodbury Center will be on the left after it's parking lot.
